SWALA SAFARIS has been operating safaris for over ten years. The company is based in Arusha and is an accredited member of the Tanzania Association of Tour Operators (TATO). It is licensed to operate safaris by the Tanzania Tourist Agency Licensing Authority (TALA). Our bankers are Barclays Bank, Arusha.
Short Safaris 3 to 6 days; Medium Safaris 7 to 10 days; Long Safaris 11-12 Days. Safari Tariffs are from $170 a day to $200+ per day fully inclusive of accommodation with all meals, vehicle with knowledgeable driver-guide, and all park fees.
Our preferred choice of accommodation is small private lodges that have the ambience of the quintessential Africa. Safari groups are small. Itineraries are often custom made. For comments from past visitors look at our Guests Comments page.
The Tanzanian coast, particularly Ushongo Beach, are excellent additions to the end a safari. Ushongo is unusual in that at low tide the water does not recede very far. It is excellent for swimming, snorkeling and diving. Saadani National Park is 90 minutes away. There are daily flights to Ushongo.
Safaris are also arranged to the chimpanzee parks of Mahale and Gombe on the shores of Lake Tanganyika, and the national parks in southern Tanzania: Ruaha, Mikumi, and Selous.
