Wildlife Safari Tariffs are based on per person per day and vary
depending on the parks Cultural Safaris, where more time is spent outside the
parks, tend to be less.
Camping Safaris in the national parks are from $150 a day to $190.
Lodge/Tented Camp Safaris are a mix of lodges and permanent tented camps
with daily rates at $250-$350 per day. These Tariffs are fully inclusive of
accommodation with all meals, vehicle with knowledgeable driver-guide, and all
park fees.
Swala Safaris principal activities are wildlife safaris, cultural
safaris, and walking safaris. Wildlife safaris are primarily in the national
parks of Tanzania. Serengeti and Ngorongoro are world-famous as the amount of
wildlife in these areas is exceptional. Kilimanjaro and Arusha National Parks
are excellent hiking areas, as are Lake Natron and Oldoinyo L'Engai, the
Ngorongoro Highlands, Embakai, and Udzungwa National Park.
Our preferred choice of accommodation is small private lodges that
have the ambience of the quintessential Africa. Safari groups are small.
Itineraries are often custom made.
Safaris are arranged to the chimpanzee parks of Mahale and Gombe
on the shores of Lake Tanganyika, and the national parks in southern Tanzania:
Ruaha, Mikumi, and Selous. For those who want to get away from the
main tourist routes there is Mkomazi Game Reserve. It is easily accessible (two
to three hours) from Kilimanjaro and Arusha and is off the tourist
route.
