Hotels require a deposit of 50% within 30 days. Allow a minimum of an extra 7 days for transfer of funds unless booking through credit card. Day rooms are available for those who want to relax before catching their evening flight. Prices vary from $30 to $45 per room.

Moshi is directly south of Mt Kilimanjaro and is the mnain town in the area. It is  40 kms from Kilimanjaro International Airport and 80 kms from Arusha. For the Machame, Umbwe and Shira routes it is recommended to use either a hotel in Arusha or Moshi. 

Marangu is 30 kms east of Moshi and is close to the trail heads of the Marangu and Rongai routes.
